Dear WorldTaiChiDay.org,

In solid desperation I was searching for free Tai Chi lessons and came upon your site. I downloaded the example and with bad coordination attempted to do the exercise. Wow even though i felt awkward I did not feel pain while doing this.


Since 1985 I have had a very painful condition called Interstitial Cystitis, a bladder disease.

Following this disease came:

Hysterectomy caused by Fibroid Tumors and Endriometriosis.

Extensive bladder treatments that were painful

Fibromyalgia

Migraines

Irritable Bowel Syndrome

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

Arthritis

Herniated Disc in lower back and neck

Shoulder pain, bones spurs in shoulder and neck

Eye Sensitivities, soreness

Muscle spasms and soreness

Horrible foot pain

Pain pain pain, so tired of pain, so tired of being in pain.

Oh and through this all they tell me I am manic depressive (you think)


Seven years ago I lost my job because I could no longer work from the pain. At 45 years old I now live in Alaska and the cold does not help. The above mentioned illnesses was too much for my marriage and we divorced 16 years ago. I have remained single because of these illnesses. Imagine raising two children on my own fighting to keep a job while going through the pain and fatigue. It was horrible. But now I feel even more horrible because of all the doctors I have gone to not one of them has been able to help me. I have been sent to physical therapy several times just to go home in such pain I never wanted to go back again. I am in physical therapy again and this time I will take it slow as I want for it causes so much pain.


I have tried pain medication, it is okay for a few hours but then I am back to pain again.


I have tried walking, but my back flares and I am down for days.


I have tried water aerobics but the water hurts my bladder.


With the exercises I have just done with your promo DVD the only thing that hurts is my shoulder and well that hurts all the time.

Thank you for sharing part of your DVD and thank you for going slow for people like me.
